Little doll's head got a body

yesterday and today i was working again on the doll.

he got now a bit smaller ears (still on the huge side)

a few wrinkles on the forehead
a neck (very important)
and a body

i still need to make hands and feet's

and do some body structure, but i don’t know about that, the wool is so hard and cruel, i am not sure if i really want to bother with it much more.

if you want to know more about the cool place where i learn all this ... visit this site here.
i made a section now for instructions, and will add as i find cool instructions :D

Ears to my head

last night i made some ears to my head ...

now ... those are BIG aren't they ?
but here you can say, big isn't the right word, they are HUGE
i thought he will fly off straight away.

so i ripped them off again, and made a few smaller ones.

i didn’t take any pictures yet. you need something to read and look tomorrow too :D
i also made the body parts.
today i started to fit them all together, not really finished yet, hopefully i get it ready for tomorrow.

Woolly treasure

last week i got 2 kilo of merino roving felting wool.
1 kilo in lovely colourful little balls

but this was a bit messy, so i ordered clip bags for them

and filled all the treasure into these bags

now that`s how i like them sorted out :D

under the coloured wool bags you can see parts of the other kilo of wool, was described as white... but actually it is off white ....

means, i got now enough roving to last me for a lifetime :D

now i need some core wool batting in different colours, i will order them next week, and then the huge felting experiences will really start :D

more to follow soon.

First Steps

end of October i decided, to get me a membership at this place :
http://www.needlefeltingsupplies.com/
its from Kay Petal, and she offers really great workshop, and when you from USA, you really lucky, because you can order all the cool wool and needles from there too :D
to have the wool sent to Germany would be a pain for the shipping cost, so i will have to find some supplies here.
if i found something good, i will let you know.

the dog in yesterdays post, was made after the first tutorial i made and last night i finished the first head of a realistic doll.
the wool is not so good, no good finishing possible with it, so it looks really hairy all over.
i am not so sure about the whole face... but i will finish it ... just for training :D
